Change in Renewal - CE Reporting/Audit…

Continuing Education verification will now be under an audit system. Once a year an audit program will tag names for the audit. On the renewal form, page two, list all CE attended, and sign the attest box at the bottom of the page. DO NOT send CE certificates or documentation to the Board. Keep all documentations and verifications in a file, or scanned on your computer. In the event your name is tagged, you will need to submit to the board all documentation and verification for each CE event that has been listed on the renewal application. It is suggested you also keep a copy of page two of the application with your CE records.

** Note ** The NDBCE requires a minimum of three (3) hours of CE in ethics.

Change in CE Credits for Presentations…

Currently counselors can receive CE credits for presentations, at a rate of two times the length of the presentation, once every two years, regardless the number of times the presentation is given, up to 15 CEH’s. The NDBCE will now allow credits for presentations at a rate of three times the length of the presentation, once every two years, regardless of the number of times the presentation is given, up to 15 CEH’s.
